Jacobs founds company Rent-A-Ford as 12 Ford Model T were in the fleet. In 1923 John D. Hertz acquires the company and renames it \u201cHertz DrivUrSelf System\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In 1970 the reservation center in Oklahoma City is opened \u2013 Hertz is available around the clock from then on.<\/p>\n<p>In 1964 rental activity in company Kompas begins and in 1972 Kompas signs first licence agreement with Hertz International.
